Baby Suri Alpaca – Dyeing silk

11,00  (VAT included)

A yarn with hair for dyeing?

This yarn is a good substitute for mohair, it has longer hair and will give a wonderful halo when combined with any other wool for knitting. It’s like synthetic wool, but natural and sustainable, what more could you ask for?

CAUTION: This is a delicate wool, so it is important that the water temperature does not exceed 50º.

It is a thick Lace yarn composed of 75% Baby Suri Alpaca and 25% Mulberry silk.
They are skeins of 50 g and approximately 300 metres.

Hairy wool for dyeing

This soft baby suri alpaca yarn is wrapped in the silk fibre and then brushed to produce that little halo of hair that wraps around it.

It is very versatile and can be used for lots of projects and with many different needle thicknesses depending on the result you want to achieve.

Combining it with DK or Fingering yarns will add warmth and texture without adding weight.
